Flying along the rugged Coromandel coastline




Flights require a minimum of 2 passengers to be confirmed. If wanting to book for 1 person we will aim to book you with other confirmed passengers. You will need to contact us for availability if booking for 1 person.


If booking within 24 hours (48 hours for Heli Wine & Picnic) of departure please phone for availability. Bookings within this time cannot be made online.


All flights are subject to weather and weight restrictions. If the pilot has any concerns, flights may be altered at their discretion. 


On some occasions, the time and date you select may not be available due to existing bookings, helicopter availability or commercial commitments. We will do our best to accommodate your requirements, however, if we need to alter your booking we will contact you on the number provided via the booking form.  


Our prices are in New Zealand Dollars and are quoted on a per-seat basis. In order for any of our flights to be confirmed, we require a minimum of two full-paying passengers.


When booking online, once the payment transaction is processed the name that will appear on your bank statement will be: AERIUS LIMITED.




In accordance with CAA rules and regulations, we require all passengers to inform us of their accurate weight before any flight. For the purpose of aircraft weight, balance and safety, the maximum weight allowed per seat is 130kgs (286lbs).




Scenic Flights


There is no age limit to ride in a helicopter, but we require for a parent or guardian to accompany any minor(s) on their flight. If you have a child three (3) years of age or younger, they will not be charged for their flight if they are held on the lap of a parent or adult guardian.


White Island Flights


For flights that are heading out to White Island Volcano the age limit for children is eight (8) and over 20kg to fit CAA approved life jackets.


Heli Wine Tasting


There is an age limit of 18 years due to the consumption of alcohol on this flight experience in accordance with the Sale and Supply of Alcohol Act 2012.




Cancellation by Aerius Helicopters:


Our Pilots will make a decision in regards to weather conditions on the day of your booked flight. If the weather conditions are not suitable for flying, we will contact you to reschedule your booking or provide a full refund. Any refunds will be reimbursed to credit cards only.


Cancellation by Customer:


Cancellations made within 48 hours will be subject to $30 cancellation fee.

Cancellations made within 12 hours will be subject to 50% of fees.

No refunds issued to no-shows.
